A beautiful paved 1/4 mile trail. Fee required.
In Prescott take Mount Vernon south for about 6.5 miles to the quaint town of Groom Creek. Just past the town turn left into the trail head parking lot.This is the same parking lot that for the historical Groom Creek School.
This trail is paved and is a very pretty short walk or push through woods and boulders.
It is also an interpretive trail with signage explaining wildlife in the area and forest habitat.
These photographs were made on a cold fall day and we suggest using this trail, when there is no snow.
